Hier hat ausnahmsweise einmal keine Jury entschieden, sondern Volkesmeinung war gefragt, d.h. das Votum von Zuschauern einer Rundfunkanstalt. Am Karfreitagabend lief im Hessischen Rundfunk, III. TV-Programm eine Reportage, in der die 30 schönsten bzw. beliebtesten Städte Hessens vorgestellt wurden. Auf Platz 26 kam Bad Karlshafen, die nördlichste Stadt des Bundeslandes Hessen: immerhin ein kleiner Erfolg! Die Dom- und Kaiserstadt Fritzlar taucht z.B. in dieser Liste überhaupt nicht auf. Auf den ersten Platz kam Fulda, eine Stadt mit über 60.000 Einwohnern. Vor Karlshafen rangieren noch andere Bäder-Städte: vorne weg Bad Hersfeld, dann Bad Homburg, Bad Orb und Bad Arolsen. Die nordhessische Metropole Kassel landete auf dem 11. Rang von insgesamt 30 Städten. (osn)
